Home alone woman robbed of Rs 8 lakh cash

BANGALORE: Two miscreants who entered a house made away with a cash of Rs 8 lakh by threatening the housewife. The incident was reported in Mohankumar Nagar in Yeshwanthpur police station limits on Saturday afternoon.According to the police, Anjali, the housewife, who was sleeping in the house located on the third floor when the incident happened. Two miscreants who had masked their faces with monkey cap entered the house and allegedly threatened Anjali and got the key of cupboard and made away with the cash that was kept in it. Anjali's husband and daughter had gone out when the incident occurred. The couple were running a chit business and the stolen money was collected in the chit, the police said. Yeshwanthpur police have registered a case and are investigating.
