I also believe that our near and dear ones never leave us completely and guide us through life. In my case, I was really close to my grandmother and even though she passed away three years ago, I can still sense her presence around me.Spiritual practicesBorn and raised in a typical Tamil Brahmin household, the daily pooja and rituals played a very integral part in my life, and the influence continues till today. We have an idol of Lord Ganesha at the back of our house, and my husband and I do pal abhishekam for the idol every Wednesday. After the pal abhishekam and other rituals, we offer home-made prasad to the deity.Pilgrimage sitesTwo years ago, I got a chance to visit Palitana, Sankeshwar Parshvanath, Dilwara and other such Jain temples, which are not only spiritual powerhouses, but architectural wonders as well.This year, I want to visit my 'kaavu' (family temple), the Parakattu Bhagavathy temple in Pallakad, for sure. I also want to go to Tirupati, even though I have been there a couple of times.MiraclesYes, I believe in them.
