In the first match, Banga's icon player Kashyap went down to Ivanov 18-21, 18-21. Kashyap started off the first game by taking a 12-9 lead but Ivanov sized up the Indian and pushed him on the backfoot on most occasions to clinch the game 21-18.
At the start of the second game, Kashyap like the first game raced ahead but at the end started to commit lot of unforced errors to give Ivanov a chance to bounce back and win the game 21-18.
