IMD Issues Orange Alert For Mumbai, Predicts Light Showers In Bengaluru: Check Full Weather Forecast

Mumbai has been experiencing heavy rainfall since Thursday morning, and the struggle for Mumbaikars is not expected to ease anytime soon, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more heavy showers for the next 2-3 days.
The IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai and predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall on July 19 and 20.
Maharashtra is witnessing heavy monsoon rains, and the Met Department has forecast an intense rain spell for the Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada regions over the next two days.

During 10 hours between 8 am and 6 pm on Thursday, Mumbai received 47.29 mm of rain, with the eastern part of the metropolis receiving 30.56 mm and the western areas 38.18 mm, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s monsoon update.
Heavy Rains To Lash Karnataka
The IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall over South Interior and Coastal Karnataka for the next five days. Light to moderate showers are likely over Bengaluru this week.

IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert For Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh
Heavy rains are expected to batter Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam from July 19 to July 21.
Additionally, the IMD has forecast an intense rain spell over Vidarbha and south Chhattisgarh over the next 2 days. Heavy showers are also likely to lash Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat from July 20 to 22.
