The third prize involves giving three ducks each to ten winners. For the fourth prize, two ducks will be awarded to ten people, and the fifth prize offers one duck to 100 lucky winners. This unusual lottery has generated significant interest, with many people flocking to buy tickets.
According to the committee members, this fancy lottery has been a part of the Mansa Puja celebrations for the past four to five years. The idea behind it is to create curiosity and attract more people to participate in the lottery. The unique prizes have certainly succeeded in doing so, as they sell around 10,000 tickets every year.
A resident who regularly buys tickets for this lottery said, “I have been participating in this lottery every year. It’s exciting because, for just twenty rupees, you can win something as unique as a goat or ducks. Many people have won these prizes in the past, and I’m hopeful to win this year as well.”
