BANGALORE: A jeep belonging to City Armed Reserve (CAR) which was being allegedly driven by a 16-year-old son of a CAR Police Inspector rammed into a goods auto near Police Quarters near Krishnananda Circle on Laggere Main Road on Thursday around 2.30 pm. No casualties were reported in the incident. It is said that the jeep was sanctioned to Inspector Srinivasa Murthy. The police said the incident occurred when he and his family members were returning home. Both the jeep and the auto were damaged in the incident. The auto belonged to one  Syed Irfan. However, the police did not clearly say whether the jeep was being driven by the boy. However, Irfan claimed that the boy rammed into his vehicle from behind when he was going on the left side of the road. “Due to the impact, I rammed the auto into an electric pole. My auto was damaged in the accident. When I got down from the auto, I noticed that a young boy of about 16 years on the driver’s seat and his parents were sitting in the rear seat. I think that the couple were drunk as they were not in a position to check what had happened,” he alleged.“When I questioned the man sitting in the rear seat, he casually said it is an accident and asked me to do whatever I wanted to. By that time, some policemen reached the spot and drove away the jeep without enquiring what had happened,” he accused.
