BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday said the State's IT exports have crossed Rs 1,300 crore and the IT sector provided direct employment to 10,000 persons during 201011.
Laying the foundation stone for Kalinga Park PhaseII, the secondphase Global Software Development Centre of TCS here, the Chief Minister said the Capital has also made good progress in the IT SEZ (special economic zone) sector and to promote such Industries, IT SEZs are being established at Infocity and Infovalley here. The industry-friendly ICT Policy2011, the IT roadmap for the State, SEZ policy and IT hardware policy are being drawn up to attract more IT industries to the State, he said. "Undoubtedly the State has always been in the forefront of the IT revolution," Naveen said.
