Jai Ho: Going gets tough for Salman's film at the box-office
Jai Ho: Going gets tough for Salman's film at the box-office
'Jai Ho' failed to open at a spectacular note, and is still struggling to earn big money at the box-office.

New Delhi: Salman Khan's superstardom is unquestionable as many of his films have become superhits in the recent past, but it seems his latest offering 'Jai Ho' is not going to make it big at the ticket window. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has not reached the Rs 100 crore mark in first four days, which was anticipated by trade pundits. He tweets, "#JaiHo passes the crucial 'Monday test'. Collects ₹ 9.50 cr. Total: 70.18 cr nett. India biz only."

He had earlier tweeted, "#JaiHo opng wknd: India *nett* ₹ 60.68 cr, *gross* ₹ 78.90 cr. Overseas *gross* ₹ 22.38 cr. Worldwide total [gross]: ₹ 101.28 cr."

This doesn't use to be the case with Salman Khan films as they have seen huge openings lately. 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Dabangg 2' went on to gather Rs 100 crore in 5 and 6 days respectively.

Directed by Sohail Khan, the film features Daisy Shah opposite Salman. It was not received well by most of the critics while 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Dabangg 2' had got mixed reviews. Almost all the reviewers had said that these two films were high on entertainment despite illogical content which, in a way, had set the path for these films.

However, there have been films which bloomed at a later stage, and the makers of 'Jai Ho' would be hoping for the same to repeat.
