Jammu-Sringar National Highway closed after snowfall
The Jawahar Tunnel and Patnitop areas of the key road are blocked. Srinagar has received 6 inches of snow since Tuesday night.

Srinagar: The 294-km Srinagar-Jammu national highway has been closed due to heavy snowfall.

The MET Department has said a fresh Western Disturbance (WD) would affect Jammu and Kashmir from today which could cause rainfall or snowfall at few places in the state.

The minimum temperature in the Kashmir Valley was recorded at 10.2 degree Celsius, three notches above the normal, while there was a slight respite from cold wave in the Valley and Ladakh region as minimum temperature increased in most parts.
