KADAPA: Barring a few stray incidents, the Kadapa district bandh called by Samaikyandhra JAC to keep the state united was total and peaceful.Some fuel stations and the medical and health regional office was attacked for not observing the bandh.The agitators also attacked the control point in the RTC bus station when some buses started moving out and damaged the furniture.Commercial establishments, shops, hotels, cinema halls, central and state government offices, educational institutions and banks voluntarily downed the shutters, while RTC suspended its service till evening. JAC convener Ch Chandrasekhar Reddy, PRP district president B Hariprasad, TDP state secretary S Goverdhan Reddy, JAC leaders C Janaki and Udayasri went around the town asking people to support the bandh.In Pulivendula, former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy organised the bandh while people voluntarily downed the shutters in Rajampeta, Koduru, Rayachoti, Lakkireddypalli and the mandal headquarters across the district.The youth dancing and singing songs in praise of Samaikyandhra played Kabadi and kho kho on roads.
