Kannada actress now prime accused in producer murder

New Delhi: The Mumbai police have now made starlet Maria Susayraj, the prime accused in the murder of TV producer Neeraj Grover.

They claim Maria hatched a plan with her fiance to kill Grover. She was apparently upset that Grover did not fulfill his promise of getting her a role in TV serials.

Maria, a Kannada starlet has so far been the co-accused, the prime accused being her fiance Jerome Mathew, a naval officer.

Earlier in an in-camera confession Maria claimed it was Mathew who killed Grover and that she helped destroy evidence.

Grover, was allegedly stabbed and his body chopped into pieces at Maria's Mumbai residence last month.

Maria and Mathew then allegedly disposed the body by burning it.

Earlier, police had alleged that Matthew killed Neeraj in a fit of rage, when he found him in Maria's house.

Maria and Mathew then allegedly cut up the body with a bread knife, and burnt it. They were later arrested by Mumbai's crime branch.
