Kochi: The special investigation team (SIT), will interrogate M M Mani, former Idukki district secretary of the CPM, on Monday as Kerala High Court gave nod to continue the probe into the murders revealed by him in the controversial speech.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the SIT officials and Kochi Range Inspector General K Padmakumar held here on Thursday. According to sources, a notice would be served on Mani asking him to appear before the SIT at Thodupuzha DySP Office at 10 am on Monday.The notice would be issued as per section 166 of CrPC.
Earlier, the SIT had issued a similar notice to Mani to appear before it in the first week of June. But Mani spurned the order stating that he had filed a petition challenging the validity of the investigation before the Kerala High Court.
