BANGALORE: The embattled Kingfisher Airlines has roped in select tour operators to continue bookings on its behalf. The move comes a day after the International Air Transport Association (IATA) suspended it from its clearing house. The airline issued a statement on Friday claiming that ‘they had made alternative arrangements to ensure that the customers can continue to book their travel on Kingfisher, via select leading travel agents and their network of partners’.They even stated that customers could continue to book and purchase tickets via their website or through any Kingfisher airline’s ticketing offices across the country and even international locations. “This situation has arisen as a consequence of our bank accounts having been frozen by the tax authorities. We are making all possible efforts to remedy this temporary situation,” they said reacting to their accounts being frozen by tax authorities. Completely in denial of their on ground conditions, the airline has stated, “We would like to emphasize that all our flights will continue to operate normally as per the schedule published on the website,” they said.
