Lenovo launches Windows 8 notebooks at Rs 48,990 onwards

New Delhi: Lenovo announced the launch of two new Windows 8 notebooks in India - IdeaPad Y500 and IdeaPad Z500. These notebooks are powered by third generation Intel Core processors, and run Microsoft's latest Windows 8 OS.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 features a carbon fiber patterned cover, 15.6-inch LED backlit widescreen HD display, and a dual-layer backlit AccuType keyboard with a large one-piece touchpad. It also features UltraBay - an interchangeable bay that users can instantly swap out for dual graphics capability, increased storage space or an additional fan for cooling.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 is said to be one of the slimmest laptops available in the Indian market. The IdeaPad Z500 is available in two colors, including dark chocolate, enamel white; it has a 15.6-inch LED backlit HD widescreen display.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 is available for Rs 64,290, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 is priced at Rs 48,990.
