Liquor traders house burgled

HYDERABAD: Unidentified persons gained entry into the house of a liquor trader and decamped with cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 30 lakh here on Thursday.The incident took place at Vedantha apartments located on street number 9, Himayatnagar. According to police, a few unidentified persons entered into flat number 202, on the second floor of the apartments, when the watchman was away for lunch.B Satyanarayana, a trader in liquor, lives along with his family in the flat.He has a bar, restaurants and wine shops in Bidar and Tarnaka. Around 1.30 p.m., the robbers broke the lock of the main door and decamped with cash of Rs 15 lakh and 20 tola gold ornaments.Satyanarayana's family went out of the house at 12.30 p.m.On returning, they found the main door lock open.Soon they went into the house and noticed that the almirah in the bedroom was also open and that all articles were strewn on the bed. Police suspect burglars know the family well as there were no indications of any force used to open the main door lock.
