Nanded: Malegaon blast accused Rakesh Dhawade, who was remanded to CBI custody since December 12, today alleged that he was tortured by the ATS squad officers while he was in their custody.
He was today remanded to magisterial custody till December 31 and orders for his medical examination were also passed by JMFC Aashish K Tiwari.
Dhawade was produced before JMFC Tiwari on Sunday. He alleged that he was suffering with severe 'body pain' as he was physically tortured by the ATS before 12th of this month.
On his complaint, the court ordered that a medical examination on him be carried out and an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scan be done.
Interestingly, he said told the court that he has no complaint against the CBI but was tortured by ATS.
Dhawade, arrested in Malegaon blast case is also suspected to have involved in Nanded blast. CBI took him into custody from the ATS on December 12 and got custody till December 16. The remand was further extended by the court till December 21 and permission to conduct Narco test on him was given.
Today he was produced before the court by CBI, who told the court that its investigation is over and that Dhawade can be sent to MCR. CBI stated that it was not possible to conduct Narco test on Dhawade as he was unfit. It requested the court give permission in the near future to conduct Narco test on him.
CBI special squad officer Raman Tyagi refused to disclose any information given by Dhawade while he was interrogated in custody. He will be produced before the MCOCA court on December 29.
