Man rapes 22-year-old woman from Uttarakhand, arrested

A 25-year-old man was Monday arrested in Gurgaon for raping a 22-year-old woman from Uttarakhand, police said.

The accused Monu was known to the woman living in Sikanderpur area in a rented accommodation.

The woman told police she was raped by Monu in October last year. The accused lived in the same neighbourhood.

The woman and the accused both work at mobile phone outlets and knew each other.

After medical examination of the woman, the accused was arrested on rape charges, said Assistant Commissioner of Police Rao Dalbir Singh.
