Kochi: A Male Home nurse who was looking after an elderly woman Tuesday allegedly killed her son when he violently attacked her in his presence, police said.
Thobias, 34, was allegedly stabbed to death by 52-year-old Lawrence when he attacked the woman at her residence in the city, police said.
As Lawrence failed to stop the son, who is allegedly a drunkard, from attacking the woman, he allegedly stabbed him to death, police said.
The incident came to light when the woman telephoned her daughter who is staying in the neighbourhood.
The police was informed but Thobias succumbed to his wounds by the time they reached the spot.
Lawrence, who stayed back after the attack, was arrested, police said.
Lawrence was employed by the family a year ago.
