Mass wedding for physically disabled

Kochi: At least 50 physically challenged persons, belonging to poor families, will take wedding vows at a function here on May 25.

The marriage is being solemnised by the Prathyasha Foundation, a trust formed by the disabled persons.

An orchestra group of the disabled artists would be launched the same day at Ernakulam town hall.

The foundation also had plans to organise 14 marriage meets for the handicapped persons in each district of the state.

A pre-marital meet for the disabled had been held at the town hall on December 3 last year, on 'World Disabled day' in which more than 5000 people participated.

At least 100 persons had selected their life partners at the meet.
