KOCHI: The stage is all set for Kerala’s biggest beauty and fashion extravaganza. The grand finale of Miss Kerala will be held at Le Meridien convention centre on October 8 from 6 30 pm onwards. The pageant, that is stepping into its 12th year, was officially declared open on July 13. This year too the pageant has put forth a foot by contributing back to society by associating with ‘Save the Girlchild’ campaign, said Harish Babu, managing director Impresario Event management India Ltd, the producers of the event. This year the pageant rolled over to other states and outside India where Malayalis are based. The auditions were conducted in Kochi, Mumbai, Chennai, Banglore, Ahmedabad and Dubai. From the 400 applicants 20 talented young girls were shortlisted. The contestants are being groomed for eight days by an expert panel before the finale. There will be three rounds - sari, partywear and gown. Apart from the main title, the pageant will have ten subtitles.
