Missing for 16 years, boy traced By CBI

CHENNAI: The Anti-Corruption Branch of the Central Bureau of Investigation here, has located a boy who was missing for more than over 16 years.In a press release, the agency said A Sayeed, a resident of Ramanathapuram district, filed a petition before the Supreme Court praying for directions to trace his son who was missing for the past 16 years and the apex court passed necesssary orders.Investigation showed that the boy was born in 1994 to Sayeed and a UAE national, who had come to India. After the birth of the child, Sayeed left India on employment and the mother left the boy with an unknown person and joined her parents. Investigation revealed that the mother, when she went to UAE to join her parents in 1995, left the child with a family related to the servant maid on the pretext that the child did not have a passport. DNA tests conducted on him confirmed Sayeed as his father.
