Four months after a dalit girl from neighbouring Mahendragarh town in Haryana went missing, her body was found buried inside a house in Irrigation Department colony in Banna Devi area in Aligarh, police said on Tuesday.
A team of Haryana Police on Monday dug out the 24-year- old girl's body, buried inside the house of one Yadunath Singh, an employee in the state Irrigation Department, they said. According to police, Singh's son Ajit, a suspended jawan of Indo-Tibetan Border Police, had killed the girl and buried her in the house.
Ajit, who was married with two children, became friendly with the college going girl belonging to Mahendragarh (Haryana). For two years, their relationship continued without the girl knowing the true identity of Ajit, police said. In March, Ajit enticed the girl to fled with him. Later, he killed the girl, police said. Ajit was suspended from ITBP two years for his alleged involvement in two cases of kidnapping.
