Mourners block road in Hosur

HOSUR: Around 100 people resorted to road blockade in Hosur on ASTC Hudco housing colony road with a body, demanding the officials to remove the blockade made across the way to the burial ground.One Ramakka (50) in Palayam area in Hosur industrial town died on Wednesday due to prolonged illness. Her relatives took the body to cremate in the burial ground near ASTC Hudco. As the road to the burial ground was blocked by a private person with the construction of wall, the crowd could not enter the ground.Following road blockade, the revenue department officials along with Hosur Town Police Inspector Kannappan rushed to the spot and held enquiries with the person who blocked the way to the ground. Later they demolished the wall and made way for the mourners.
