NEET May be Deferred by a Year After All-Party Meet
This comes in after the Supreme Court order calling for a common national entrance test was met with protests from state governments and leaving students with less time to prepare.

In what could be a major reprieve for medical students, an all-party meet held on Monday, came to the consensus of postponing the common medical entrance exam, and holding it in regional languages.

This comes in after the Supreme Court order calling for a common national entrance test was met with protests from state governments and leaving students with less time to prepare.

The meeting was attended by Congress, BSP, INLD, Left, PDP and other regional parties.

"We are trying to build a consensus. Consultations are on and most of the states are of the view that NEET should be there. We need to wait and discus with everyone. Larger issue is that we need to give fair examination system and it has to be practical", Nadda said.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, took to Twitter to show his discontentment with the consensus reached at the all-party meeting.

Most students feel that the exam should be conducted in regional languages otherwise they claim, it give English speaking students an unfair advantage.
