New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) may be roped in to interrogate arrested Pakistani terrorist Usman Khan aka Mohd Naved, sources said on Wednesday. The sources added that the National Security Advisor (NSA)-level talks will be held with Pakistan as scheduled on August 23, despite the Udhampur and Gurdaspur attacks and Usman's arrest.
Usman Khan was arrested by the Indian forces after a brief gunbattle in Udhampur on Wednesday.
In a video shot by his captors, he is heard saying that he came from Pakistan into India twelve days ago with the aim of "killing Indians".
Usman is the first terrorist after 26/11 handler Ajmal Kasab to have been captured alive by the Indian forces.
