Nine killed in Amritsar bus accident

Amritsar: Amritsar: Nine persons, including women and children, were killed and several injured when a mini-bus collided with a small modified auto in Amritsar on Wednesday late evening.

Sources said, the modified auto is carrying passengers far more than its capacity when a mini bus hit it from behind.

"Most of the passengers travelling in the auto were farm labourers. Those injured were rushed to a nearby hospital," sources said.

A team of local police officers rushed to the spot to maintain the law and order situation in the area.
