Plea against 4 ICs posting withdrawn

A division bench of the High Court comprising acting chief justice PC Ghose and justice Vilas V Afzulpurkar on Monday dismissed the writ petitions which challenged the appointment of four information commissioners to the state Information Commission.

 The petitioners challenged the appointment of M Ratan, S Prabhakar Reddy, C Madhukar Raj (all retired bureaucrats) and journalist P Vijay Babu.

 When the case came up for hearing on Monday the bench indicated that the case was not properly presented.

 The counsel for the petitioner agreed to withdraw the cases and the bench dismissed the cases as withdrawn.
