Poetry workshop held

TRIPUNITHURA:  A workshop on poetry was held at St Francis School near Amballoor. At a time when the Malayalam literary field is distancing itself away from the children, the workshop headed by children’s writer Sippi Pallipuram enlightened them on many poems. After giving a brief description about the making of a poem, Sippi asked the children to write a poem. Many of them  penned small poems and without losing the essence of the content, most of them rendered the simple lines in their own tune and rhythm. School manager Fr John Puthuva inaugurated the workshop. Headmistress C Filcy presided over the function.
