Police sub inspector suspended for dereliction of duty

A police sub inspector was suspended for alleged dereliction of duty in Rajasthan's Alwar district.

"Sub Inspector Sawai Singh received information about an incident of loot in Bhiwara area on April 29 but he did not pass on the information to higher level," SP Vikas Kumar said on Firday.

"Singh also did not take prompt action following which he was suspended yesterday," Kumar said.

The SP also directed the police officers and staff to act promptly on information of a crime.
