Policeman shot by criminal in UP

A policeman was shot at and seriously injured by a criminal, who later attempted to commit suicide in Dakshin area, a senior officer said in Firozabad on Thursday.

Policeman Sachin Yadav was shot at by history sheeter Pramod alias Minna Chaudhary late Wednesday night, circle officer Rakesh Singh said.

Fearing that he would be caught, Minna shot himself in his leg.

Yadav was rushed to the district hospital from where he was referred to the trauma centre in a serious condition.
