Ajay Sharma has given the administration vital information on the route taken by the retreating Naxalites.
Jehanabad (Bihar): A Ranvir Sena member, kidnapped by the CPI (Maoist) guerrillas from Jehanabad jail, has returned to surrender.
Ajay Sharma escaped from the custody of the Naxalites at Pinjora village.
"There was commotion after the killing (of a Sena leader) and I jumped into a river and escaped," a visibly shocked Sharma said.
The Naxalites had shot dead Ranvir Sena leader Visheshwar Rai on Monday.
Sharma is being treated at the Sadar hospital in Jehanabad.
Jehanabad District Magistrate Rana Avadhesh said, Sharma has given vital information about the route taken by the Naxalites.
Police teams have been dispatched to track them, he added.
