Tweeting can also land you in a soup. Read on to know how.

Chicago: Tweeting can also land you in a soup. This was realised by Amanda Bonnen who has been sued for over $50,000 by a real estate company for a Tweet complaining about a moldy apartment.

The lawsuit claims that Bonnen had sent the offending Tweet on May 12 to a friend, "You should just come anyway. Who said sleeping in a moldy apartment was bad for you? Horizon realty thinks it's okay."

Horizon Group Management LLC, which manages the North Side apartment building along with at least 14 other properties in Chicago, now claims $50,000 from Bonnen, the Chicago Sun Times reported.

The company issued a statement saying the company came across the Tweet while defending a class action lawsuit Amanda Bonnen filed last month against the company's management.

"There was no evidence of mold in her apartment at the time she moved out", the company stated.

Jeff Michael, whose family has run Horizon for 25 years, told the Sun-Times that company hadn't talked with Bonnen about her post, nor had anyone asked her to remove the comment.
