BANGALORE: Rich tributes were paid to martyrs at the War Memorial of the Parachute Regimental Training Centre on the occasion of Infantry Day in the city on Thursday.Maj General P S Ravindranath, Commandant, Selection Centre(South)(Seniormost Serving Infantry Officer in Station), Brigadier A Dutta, Deputy GOC of Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area and Major General RPRC Naidu (Retd) led the gathering in paying tributes to the martyrs of Indian Army’s Infantry by laying wreaths at the memorial.Speaking at the Special Sainik Sammelan organised on the occasion, Major General Ravindranath said that the Infantry had performed a commendable job by serving the nation in inhospitable conditions and has always safeguarded the territorial integrity of the country.
