New Delhi: 17 kids from 13 schools were trained to conceptualise, direct, shoot and edit a film of their own. And, now the young filmmakers are ready with their film, which will be screened at the opening ceremony of Mumbai International Film Festival.
Activities around the festival began with a 7 day film-making workshop. The said workshop was part of Lennep Kids' Film Fest(LKFF), initiated by Amsterdam-based Lennep Media and the 13th Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF). LKFF has reached out to 12,000 Mumbai school kids showcasing 22 award winning Dutch short films across 15 city schools.
The once in a lifetime opportunity for these kids will come on February 3. The film is titled 'Checkmate BB' and it is of 5 minutes length. It is about Disha, who admires her best friend Sakina and ignores her brother, Dhruv.
