Bangkok: Indian archers Rahul Banerjee won the silver medal while Atanu Das bagged bronze in the Recurve men's individual event at the Asian Grand Prix on Thursday after the men's Compound team's gold-winning effort on Tuesday.
Banerjee - ranked 11th - recorded a score of 651, which was 13 short of Japan's Takahary Furukawa who clinched gold with a score of 664. Earlier on Tuesday, the Indian men's Compound team comprising Sandeep Kumar, Abhishek Verma and Jignas Chittibomma won the gold medal.
In 2010, Banerjee won gold in the men's individual Recurve event at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, along with a bronze in the team event. He followed that with a bronze medal in the team event at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.
Banerjee was also honoured with the Arjuna Award in 2011.
