KOCHI: A special team has been constituted to investigate the case of firing on fishermen by two Italian Naval officers. Kochi City Police Commissioner M R Ajith Kumar will lead the team under the supervision of ADGP Vinson M Paul. The team will also include the Circle Inspector of the Neendakara police station and officials from the Crime Branch.The team was constituted by DGP Jacob Punnose.The police on Tuesday collected the names and details of the marines who were present in the ship. The police have got information that the security of the ship was overlooked by San Marco regiment and Lattorre Massimiliano was the chief master sergeant of the security personnel in the ship.There were five other sergeants under him. Other sergeants were Salvatore Girone, Renatto Volgina, Alasandarre, Masimaro Andronico and Antonio Fonterna.The police also quizzed the Italian security men. Diplomats and military representatives reached the CISF guest house at Thopumpady and spoke to the Navy men.
