Ahmedabad: Top Gujarat police officer Geetha Johri appeared before the CBI on Thursday. It is the second round of questioning for the former CID supervising officer in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case.
Additional Director General of Police (DGP) Geetha Johri finally arrived at the CBI headquarters in Ahmedabad, putting an end to speculation that she would ignore the court summons once again. This was her third summons for questioning in connection with the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case.
Geetha, posted with CID (crime) between 2007 and 2009, was the supervising officer of the fake encounter probe. The DGP is accused of conducting inadequate investigations.
Johri failed to present herself for questioning on previous occasions citing security duty and ill health.
