Teenaged couple commits suicide as families oppose their relationship

A teenaged couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from a tree in Dihiya village under Khuthan police station area here, police said on Wednesday.

Krishan Lal Bind (17), living in a Dalit basti, was having an affair with Rashmi (16) but their families were against their relationship, Additional Superintendent of Police Sripati Misra said.

They went missing on Tuesday from their homes and later their bodies were found hanging from the tree.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination, the ASP added.
