HYDERABAD: In what looked like an act picked straight from a Bollywood movie, burglars climbed a tree in a graveyard, reached atop a three-storied building, jumped over two other buildings to reach a jewellery store, made a hole in the wall to enter it and stole 2.5 kg gold and 113 kg silver ornaments. The burglary took place in Rudrangi Prakash Jewellery in the busy Siddiamber Bazar under Begum Bazar police station limits. The incident came to light on Tuesday after the jewellery store owner, Naresh, opened the store and found articles helter-skelter in the three floors of the shop.Police suspect that the intruders entered a graveyard and climbed a tree which is nearby a building. They, then, reached the terrace of a building and jumped two more buildings to reach the terrace of the jewellery store.Once they were on the terrace of the jewellery store, they made a hole in the wall adjacent to the locked door and entered it.The intruders, both in their teens and lean, escaped with the booty, the value of which is yet to be ascertained. One of the intruders wore a helmet to prevent his image from being captured by the surveillance cameras while the other covered his face with his shirt. Police suspect the involvement of some others apart from the duo who entered the building. Police are trying to nab the offenders with the help of images. The role of insiders is also suspected.
