CHENNAI: Police have identified the third bank heist suspect shot in an encounter on February 23. The name of one of the suspects in ID cards recovered from the scene of crime had read Harish Kumar, s/o Panchi Ray, Purushothampur Town and Village, Raghopar District, Vaishali, Bihar. However, a press release issued by the police on Monday said his original name was found to be Rajiv Kumar, s/o Bijender Yadav, Milkipur Village, Hilsa police station limits, Nalanda district, Bihar.The release said Rajiv Kumar was involved in the murder of Rameshwar Das, head of Kabir Mutt, on September 27, 2009, where he worked as an assistant. He was roped in by one Paramananda Das. Rajiv Kumar shot Rameshwar and escaped. The Bihar police had not been able to apprehend him. He was also wanted for two bank robberies in 2010 in Charkop and Borivili police stations, in Mumbai.
