KOCHI: The training for the second batch of the ‘Golden Hour’ project, intended to create awareness among the drivers of school vehicles, will be held at Ernakulam General Hospital Conference Hall on Sunday. The project was launched by the district administration, in conjunction with the Indian Medical Association and the National Health Rural Mission, in the wake of the increasing number of accidents involving school buses. The training will be given to a group of select drivers of school buses operating under the Aluva and Paravoor assistant educational offices. Those who have registered for the programme should bring along an authorisation letter from the principal and a passport-size photo. The four-hour-long training sessions include theory and practical classes. A test will also be conducted to get the feedback. Those who clear the test will be handed a certificate and an identity card.
