Two Maoists killed in police firing

KHAMMAM: Two Maoists were reportedly killed in an exchange of fire with police that reportedly took place between Sayanapally and Kommugudem forest area of Gundala mandal in the district on Monday.According to sources, on receiving information about movement of some Maoists under the leadership of Pushapakka dalam in the forest area of Gunadala mandal, a Greyhounds party from Yellandu set out for the forest for combing operations. Two Maoists died in the firing that ensued  between them and the police. It is learnt that a policeman was also injured.It is learnt that Kothagudem OSD T Ramaprasada Rao is monitoring the situation and the combing operations are still on.
