HYDERABAD: Cyberabad police on Saturday arrested two persons for allegedly duping a woman of nearly Rs 1.25 lakh in a lottery fraud.Police said, Gavrav Varma and Vidhut Gupta from Uttar Pradesh posed as commission agents working with one Mohith Durgad. They told a woman, D Flora, that she had won 10 lakh pounds in a Coco Cola World promotion lottery. They had asked her to deposit Rs 1.25 lakh in an ICICI bank account and later, asked her to pay extra, for the prize money to be delivered to her.Suspicious over their demand, Flora had lodged a complaint with the Cyberabad police. During investigation, police had found out that the bank account holders were from UP.Varma and Gupta were arrested in UP and brought to Hyderabad. "During the interrogation, the duo said that they were working with Durgad who used to receive the money deposited in the bank account. Also, Durgad used to pay high commission to the accused," K Srinivas Rao, Inspector Cyber Crimes.
