Lucknow: People of Jabrouli village in Mohanlalganj Tehsil, Lucknow on Monday performed puja for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's victory in the US Presidential polls to be held on November 8.

In 2014, former US President Bill Clinton had visited the village to participate in an event organised by the Clinton Health Foundation and had even adopted that village.

The villagers are hoping that Hillary too, will visit their village which will help them develop and get better facilities.

They kept pictures of the Clintons, organised hawan and chanted mantras wishing for Hillary's victory. The program was organised under the leadership of village head Ramesh Chandra.

The villagers even distributed 'ladoos' among each other wishing "all the best" to the Democratic presidential candidate, who has been pitched against Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Bill Clinton had visited Jabrauli village, on 17 July 2014, and had reviewed the work done with the help of his foundation in the field of child care and maternal health.

He interacted with the children and women during his 2-hour long stay at a primary school and community centre in the village. He was on a eight-day trip of the Asia/Pacific region, during which included visit to Vietnam, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia also.
