Moradabad: Bharatiya Janata Party MP Varun Gandhi on Sunday escaped unhurt after a makeshift stage, overcrowded with his supporters, collapsed at a party function in Moradabad.
Varun, who was on his way to interact with farmers in Chhajlet, had made a brief halt at Peeli Kothi Chowk on the Moradabad-Haridwar Highway, where local MP Sarvesh Kumar had organised a welcome ceremony.
