Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will meet the public in Jaipur on every Wednesday to redress their grievances and complaints, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore said on Tuesday.
"Ministers will also be present in the meeting," Rathore told reporters after a three-hour Cabinet meeting.
He said Raje has issued directions that ministers should not plan any tour from Monday to Thursday and be present in their offices in the state capital.
He said as part of special exercise, the state government will work in the Bikaner division for 10 days from June 19 to 30 to resolve public grievances and issues.
The ministers will go to villages and panchayats from June 20-22 and visit at least 10 panchayat samitis in Bikaner division, he said.
Special camps of departments concerning agriculture, power, water, public works, education and panchayat would be organised in Kolayat, Lunkaransar, Sadulshhar, Bhadra and Bikaner, he said.
Previous Congress government's plan and packages for pensioners and scholarships for OBCs and Economically Backward Class students would be maintained by the Raje government, Rathore said.
The Cabinet observed that the issue of concession on land to be purchased by social organisations or NGOs would be taken up after a new policy which was being framed, he said.
On a question of a committee's report on alleged irregularities in Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test given to the Chief Minister, Rathore said the state government had sought legal comments in the case on the basis of which the CM will take a decision in a day or two.
On the revision petition filed in connection with an alleged rape case against 17 persons, including Union Minister Nihalchand, Rathore said, "The matter is sub-judice."
"It appears to be politically motivated against the BJP minister," he added.
