People love taking photos at the exotic locations. From sunset points to the peak of mountains, adventure lovers never miss a chance to capture scenic landscapes in their cameras. In such a situation, if you love capturing photographs in the garden of sunflowers, then you must visit the Tenkasi district in Tamil Nadu. Sundarpandiapuram, Sambavar Vadakarai, Surandai and surrounding areas of the Tenkasi district are the perfect habitats for sunflowers due to their sunny temperature and fertile soil. Tourists often visit these places in July, August and September. There are more than 70 varieties of sunflowers in the world. Sunflowers can grow up to 12 feet. There are 2000 seeds inside a sunflower. These seeds are mostly grown in regions with sunny climates to produce oil. On the north bank of Sambavar Vadakarai in the Tenkasi district, the sunflower garden is spread over a huge area, serving as a photographic point for tourists. Sunrise in the morning and sunset in the evening are the perfect time to take photos here. The sunflower garden in Sambavar Vadakrai is great for an outdoor photoshoot, with the Western Ghats as the backdrop.
During the sunflower season this year, farmers in some plantations are charging Rs 25 to Rs 50 as a tourist fee. You can also buy organically grown vegetables here. The people of Kerala show more interest than the people of Tamil Nadu to visit this sunflower garden despite the abundant growth of sunflowers in the latter state. More tourists from Kerala come to enjoy and take photos of the sunflower plants that grow during July, August and September.
Next to this sunflower garden, vegetables and fruits like tomatoes, cucumbers, and mung beans are also grown. Farmers harvest and sell it directly. As per media reports, the selling prices of fruits and vegetables are lower if bought directly from the farmers when compared to the market. Apart from taking photos, also buy and taste the natural vegetables available there.
