When K Raghavendra Rao was given away the MAA TV's Lifetime Achievement award, Ashwini Dutt savoured it a lot. If Dutt's Vyjayanthi Movies is known for its prestige today, the credit goes in no small measure to KRR, who has made 14 films for the banner.
Dutt made it a point to praise KRR to the skies. He described the celebrated director as a kind of Bhagawadh Gita for the Telugu Box Office. "He has directed 106 films, of which 84 were super hits. This feat is not possible for others", he said.
"If I have been able to hold my ground despite a less than 20 per cent success rate, it is because he has made 14 films under our banner. It is my desire to produce a sequel to 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari' under his direction", he added.
