New Delhi: Television actor Pankaj Kapoor is back on the big screen as Mussaddi Lal of the hit 'Office Office' series, a man who has to prove to government officials that he is alive when they accidentally remove him from official records, taking him for dead.
The trailer for 'Chala Mussadi Office Office' is out and quintessential 'common man' Pankaj Kapoor is faced with a peculiar and complicated problem.
Director Rajiv Mehra's film stars Kapoor, Deven Bhojani, Manoj Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Hemant Pandey, Asawari Joshi, Gaurav Kapoor, Farida Jalal and Makrand Deshpande.
The film deals with the plight of Kapoor after his wife dies due to medical negligence and he leaves for pilgrimage as officials from the pension office come calling at his home. The officials are led to think that Lal has died and that triggers off a chain of events.
The plot's irony lies in Lal's unique dilemma of having to prove he is alive as he battles bureaucratic apathy.
The social satire will be released on August 5 and has music by Sajid and Wajid.
