Anyone can cook some delicious food if given a chance. Thus proving their mettle were the department heads of Le Meridien even as the culinary team of the hotel took a backseat for the day. The various department heads, attired in the chef’s coat and hat and equipped with culinary tools set out to cook for all the hotel associates on September 1, Saturday.
The activity which was planned as part of associate engagement was a novel experience for the staff members. “Ahead of a major event like Emerging Kerala, all of us at Le Méridien Kochi are gearing up and this activity was specially planned for our associates” said General Manager, Le Meridien Rajesh Madan, who headed the activity.
The menu for the day was continental with butter chicken being the highlight dish. As it is post Onam, members participating in the event also made some lipsmacking Kerala dishes like pachaddi, erissery, dal and roti. Apart from cooking food for the staff, the department heads also served the food. The food serving session was led by the general manager and the team.
